This ship time request is part of an 8-week, 10-student summer REU program in marine sciences in Savannah, Georgia. Our program focuses on early undergraduate participation (freshmen and sophomore), thus targeting students during a critical time in their STEM career and providing them key experiential learning like a 2-day research cruise opportunity aboard a UNOLS vessel. Students gain valuable experience in Marine Sciences and develop knowledge about their potential career pathway.
