Project aboard
We are requesting use of the R/V Sally Ride to recover and install three Deep Profiler Moorings as part of the annual Operations and Maintenance cruise for the National Science Foundations Ocean Observatories Initiative Regional Cabled Array. This work was postponed in 2024 due because the moorings could not be turned on the R/V Atlantis . This will require a two-ship operation utilizing the Sally Ride for the mooring turns and the Atlantis with Jason to unplug and plug in the moorings.
