Project aboard
Now that Sikuliaq's vessel coordinate survey is complete, we can correct inconsistencies in relation to the actual origin, rather than the previously calculated origin. Once these geometries are updated in the sonar systems, it is necessary to conduct calibrations for system verification of measured offsets. In addition, we can use the 3D laser scans from the survey results to finally implement motion compensation for winches overboarding from the stern A-frame. This requires dedicated ship time to tune the regulator settings in the winch control system while a clump weight is deployed in moderate sea states.
