Project aboard
Our team intends to conduct an acoustic comms test utilizing two (2) surface expressions (Slocum Gliders) and two (2) moored-bottom nodes. The primary objective will be following the deployments where we are planning a 10 to 14 day equipment soak. This allows for longer duration testing, and multiple glider pattern evolutions. For this part 1 of a multi-part trip we anticipate a two (2) day mobilization, followed by a short transit (2 to 4 hours). Two (2) days of deployment and initial testing activities. With the plan being to then leave the gear to soak while the vessel and team return to port and demobilize the vessel. The follow on to this multi-cruise event will be a recovery trip.
