Neotrypaea project
CompletedOperating area: OR-WA Shelf 43-47 deg N and within 60 nm from shore
Route: Newport (Oregon) - United States → Newport (Oregon) - United States
Project aboard
Our intent is to characterize the benthos and benthic fluxes at four shelf sites off central Oregon and four sites off southern Washington during summertime. We will deploy moored landers that support eddy covariance sensors, collect hydraulically-damped frame-supported gravity cores for core incubation, collect box cores for macrofauna enumeration, and perform CTD/rosette casts for water column characterizations. A drop camera system may also be deployed.
