Project aboard
The main purpose of the ship usage includes: 1) deployment and retrieval of bottom mounted equipment for planned recording of data for meteotsunami events during severe weather; 2) conduct some transect surveys to verify, cross calibrate and validate the data from the deployed instruments. Since each deployment will last for a month or so (limited by battery life of the instruments), we need to have several trips to cover several months of winter storm time periods.
